About ICAR-NRCL

The NRCL Full Form is the National Research Centre on Litchi. This is An ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institute in India dedicated to the research and development of litchi. It aims to enhance litchi production, processing, and value addition while offering leadership and consultancy services. Additionally, the NRCL offers consultancy services to stakeholders in the litchi industry.

Established on June 6th, 2001, the ICAR-National Research Centre on Litchi operates under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. It works under the auspices of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Its primary mandate is to spearhead research and development initiatives in litchi cultivation across India, following a mission-oriented approach.

They aim to establish the ICAR-NRCL as a centre of excellence in litchi research, extension, and skill development to ensure livelihood security and economic prosperity for litchi growers and traders.
